ICBRKR EXTRAORDINAIRES: Isabela DeCampos, Advocate for Indigenous Mexican Art
Welcome to our ICBRKR Extraordinaires Series, where we periodically highlight one extraordinary ICBRKR. Our community is our backbone, and we’re proud to bring together such a passionate and engaging group of people. ICBRKR: MEET YOUR GLOBAL COMMUNITY. ⚡️
Today, we introduce you to Art Aficionado, Fellow Foodie, and Global Explorer, Isabela DeCampos. Born in Brazil and now living in Mexico, Isabela is the Founder and CEO of Bambalina Store, an online platform that focuses on exporting unique, genuine, handcrafted pieces from Mexico. With a stunning, high-quality range of pottery, wall decor, lighting, macrame, ceramics, leather goods and more, Bambalina’s products bring light and joy to every room.
Find out more about Isabela’s journey to support indigenous culture below, and be sure to catch her on ICBRKR’s IG Live session this Thursday, January 14th at 6PM London | 12PM Mexico City | 1PM New York | 10AM LA.

Isabela, we’re obsessed with Bambalina’s collection. What inspired you to start the store and what’s your long-term goal?
I moved to Mexico one year ago to live with my boyfriend Miguel, and I love everything about it! I especially love the local art and decoration. My inspiration was to help Mexican artists gain exposure around the world. Due to lack of education and financial resources, local artisans have little to no chance of being recognized outside of their communities. Bambalina showcases their high-quality, handcrafted work, made with natural fibers, beautiful ceramics, macrame, and leather — all of which are unique in technique and process. Every State in Mexico has its magic, and I want to show the world their talents, while helping local communities grow.
Do you have a second occupation that you’re passionate about?
Not exactly a second occupation, but I love to dance! You can always find me on the dance floor.
What do you like most about ICBRKR?
What I like most about ICBRKR is that it connects people with the same taste for life. It brings people together with a growth mindset towards work and pleasure. And I love the fact that you can connect with ICBRKR members everywhere you go. The ICBRKR community focuses on community experience rather than structure, which helps create strong and supportive bonds.
As a Global Explorer, what is your favorite city and why?
New York! I lived in Boston for 20 years and used to spend most of my weekends in New York City. New York is just alive 24/7. Amazing restaurants, museums, music, people… and it’s very multicultural.
You said you’re a Fellow Foodie. What’s your favorite food?
Anything Mexican.
And since you’re also an Art Aficionado, is your favorite artist?
Carybé (Héctor Julio Páride). He was a Brazilian/Argentinian painter, engraver, potter, sculptor, historian, illustrator, and journalist, and was very famous for the art present all over Salvador de Bahia, where I was born. His style resembles Mexican art in so many ways.!
Last but not least, what is your guilty pleasure?
Dancing all night and getting home after sunrise.
After our own heart! Thanks for sharing your passion with us, Isabela. We look forward to our IG Live together this Thursday!
